The Gospel According to Isaiah
The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion— to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. (Isaiah 61:1-2)
In the fourth chapter of the Gospel of Luke, Jesus read this very passage from the prophet Isaiah and proclaimed that He had come to fulfill every word of this ancient promise. The promise of the gospel of Jesus Christ is not only the forgiveness of sins but also a transformed life. Transformation comes only through healing and freedom - healing from brokenness and freedom from sin and a toxic past. It is the birthright of every believer.
And yet, so many who sincerely follow Jesus still struggle with personal brokenness, failing marriages, bondage to anger or fear, and a host of addictions. Jesus did not come to leave His followers in bondage, battered, bruised, and limping into heaven. He came to impart strength, healing and wholeness to the children of God so that they might fully live out the abundant life He promised. Jesus is the door through which we may step out of darkness into the freedom and healing promised by Isaiah.
This website is dedicated to believers who need more or want more from the Kingdom of God. Jesus taught us to pray for the Father’s will to be done on earth as it is in heaven. Whatever He wants for his children in heaven, He wants for his children on earth. God has called out a destiny for each of us that will only be realized when we walk in the freedom and healing He still offers. If you are looking for the healing touch of Jesus, the transforming power of the kingdom of God, or the liberation that comes through the Son…this website is for you.
So, if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. John 8:36
